Spring

I had not planned anything for this weekend as the weather predictions said that it would rain on Saturday. But as always, it did not rain. Instead it was a sunny and warm day. I kept thinking of going out and shoot but did not know where. At 2, when I had almost given up and had decided to spend the day in my apartment being lazy, a thought suddenly came to my mind- Longwood Gardens. I had heard of this place from a couple of people, but had never been there. Googled it and saw it was not very far. So, we made the plan on the fly and decided to hit the road.

I didn't check before leaving if there was any admission fee for the garden. We reached there at 3.15 and saw it was $16 per adult. We started thinking if that amount was worth 1.5 hrs in a garden. But i hadnt been to such a place since long. It had been long time since i had seen some greenery and colours. The winter this year suddenly seemed to be too long. So we decided to go in and till the time we were in the garden, we did not think even once that we made a wrong decision. The collection of flowers in the conservatory was breathtaking. The bright and sunny day helped me get good light to shoot inside the conservatory. Check some of my photos of that day below. Also, posted on my flickr page.
